How do you feel being a woman in the acting world? Fantastic! But I also think women should put God first in all that we do. We should realise that a fello
w woman’s accomplishment is not a direct threat but a motivational force to pursue and achieve our own goals. Let’s learn to celebrate with whoever succeeds because that alone is inspiring and can empower us as women. Let’s stop comparing ourselves with others, bearing in mind that all fingers are not equal. Unnecessary comparison can delay God’s blessings to us. Then to gossips and back-stabbers, get busy and make positive impact on life, for an idle woman is the devil’s workshop. Strive to be better. Enhance your skill, talents or gifts with additional knowledge. Network with like minds for improvement.
Does that mean you have no regrets being a woman?
Not at all! God chose me to be a woman; He knows I will function well as such. So being a woman is beautiful because things get done easily for me. A woman understands nature adequately, she’s balances every aspect of life; be it at home, work place, social gathering, etc. A woman is a helper; she is ever strong, understanding, compassionate, builder and manager at the same time. I don’t feel intimidated by a male dominating me because I am meant to be by his side as a helper.
Are you fulfilled with your acting career?
I love being an actress, both on the screen and on stage. In fact, I love being in front of camera. You get to play who you are not, who you are or who you can never be.  Analysing a script (role) deeply using my imagination is always thrilling; then bringing the written words to life is the best part.
Are you married?
No, I’m beautifully single and searching for my better half.
Some people consider strong women as wicked in nature. Are you like that?
Though I am very strong, I’m compassionate.
What is your philosophy of life?
I believe in live and let’s live; for there is room for us all at the top. I also believe that hard work when done right produces good results; and of course with God all things are possible. Also, do to others as you want them do to you.
What puts you off people?
I hate bad breath with a passion. I can’t stand body odour and an untidy home.
Tell us your style.
I love to look good with what I can afford. I believe in dressing well so as to be addressed well. Yes, a lady is addressed the way she is dressed.
Can you reach out to ladies who think it is unnecessary to dress well after marriage?
I don’t subscribe to that. If my man likes what I wear, why would I stop looking trendy after marriage? That’s a no-no for me. I will even go out of my way to top up my game. Apart from looking trendy to keep your man’s admiration, it also gives you the confidence to be seen anywhere and to stand out. Friends, family, colleagues, secret admirers and so on will be proud to associate with a personality that has good sense of dressing.
How do you think life would have been without fashion?
Life without fashion would have been boring, monotonous, mind-numbing and ugly if I’m permitted to use that word.
What part of your body wouldn’t you mind flaunting proudly?
My legs, of course. I’m a high-waist lady with amazing long legs. It’s one part of my body I flaunt. I love to wear skinny jeans and bum shorts. If it has to be skirt, it should be short. I’m a casual fashionista. But that doesn’t mean I don’t dress to the nines if need be.
