Challenges turn fierce in wake of Freddie Gray passing
National Guard troops fanned out through the city, shield-bearing cops obstructed the roads and firefighters splashed as yet stewing bursts early Tuesday as a developing territory of Baltimore shivered from uproars taking after the memorial service of a dark man who kicked the bucket in police authority.
The brutality that began in West Baltimore on Monday evening — inside a mile of where Freddie Gray, 25, was captured and put into a police van not long ago — had by midnight spread to East Baltimore and neighborhoods near to downtown and close to the baseball stadium. The avenues were smooth Tuesday morning.
Monday's revolting was a standout amongst the most unpredictable flare-ups of roughness incited by a police-included demise subsequent to the times of challenges that took after the passing of Michael Brown, an unarmed dark man who was shot and killed amid a showdown with a white cop in Ferguson, Missouri, the previous summer.
